I’m Ashton Craig, and I’m a journalist and creative writer from Daytona Beach, Florida — just like Rebecca. My parents flocked down south to avoid cold Pittsburgh winters, so I’ve become indistinguishable from the locals, effortlessly enjoying the ocean waves and natural parks. My expertise is in what makes Central Florida exciting: the natural landscapes, Disney World, local eats and arts, and, lastly, local histories.
Right now, I'm working with Rebecca to help her research for a nonfiction book. She's also mentoring me in writing.
When I’m not writing for fun, I study English Literature at Stetson University, where I'm a section editor for the Stetson Reporter. My homework can be done while hammocking in our palm court. You can catch me living like a retired snowbird, enjoying free concerts and long days at the beach.
I'm still working on getting my first big bylines, but when I do, they'll go here.
